Cuppy Launches £100,000 Fund to Support African Graduate Students at Oxford

DJ and philanthropist ‘Cuppy’ Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola has just announced the launch of the Cuppy Africa Oxford Fund, which aims to support African graduate students at the University of Oxford.

Cuppy, who recently graduated from Oxford University, has pledged a £100,000 gift to the fund to help future African leaders access the skills, resources, and networks necessary to maximize their impact.

The Cuppy Africa Oxford Fund is a ten-year commitment by Cuppy to support students on their education journeys and help them reach their full potential during their time at Oxford and beyond.

The fund will provide financial assistance to African students who have been accepted into Oxford’s graduate programs but may struggle with the costs of tuition, living expenses, or other educational expenses.

Cuppy, who is of Nigerian heritage, has long been an advocate for education in Africa. She has previously worked with organizations such as Save the Children and the Global Citizen Education Fund to promote education access and quality across the continent.

The Cuppy Africa Oxford Fund represents her latest effort to support African students in pursuing their educational goals.

In a statement announcing the fund’s launch, Cuppy said, “This partnership means a lot to me, as I just graduated from Oxford_Uni myself. I know firsthand the challenges that can come with pursuing a graduate degree, and I want to help other African students overcome those challenges and achieve their dreams.”

The Cuppy Africa Oxford Fund is expected to have a significant impact on the lives of African students at Oxford, providing them with the financial support and resources they need to succeed. It is also a testament to Cuppy’s commitment to using her platform and resources to make a positive difference in the world. As Cuppy says, “Cuppy cares,” and her actions show that she is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others.
